Day 4, 14th February
Port Lincoln out to Neptune islands| Lincoln National Park |
We had such a lovely. Room at the Marina hotel with plenty of space to spread out and rearrange all our stuff to minimise what we take on board for 3 nights.
With that and loads of chilling out it was 10am before we decamped.
We had a bit of a look around town and bought a few odds and ends including a couple of hot chocolates and a sausage roll for Roy!
We decided to spend the day exploring Lincoln National Park as a bit of a bonus. There was fog and misty rain this morning and it it has cleared away to low cloud. Still expecting a warm day. .
Had a lovely days explore in Lincoln national park. Beautiful algae covered rocks , white beaches and blue seas. Not much wildlife. Just a couple of currawongs and a few wrens.
Headed back to the Marina to wait for the evening pick up for the Rodney fox trip.
| Hopefully not shades of things to come! |
Found a lovely quiet spot in the pub, on the. Verandah for a lovel Aperol spritz while we waited and chatted with another couple of locals sitting nearby.
Pick up was at 6:15pm and we loaded 7 bags of dive equipment and camera gear plus a few clothes into the trailer . Moved our car to a safer spot and jumped in the bus. Just a small group of 9 people so it should be a nice intimate group with loads of dive opportunities.
| MV Rodney Fox - loading up |
At the wharf we had to unload and each do a RAT . Fortunately both negative! Sign a bunch of forms etc.
On board we unloaded dive gear into allocated tubs, then had an on board briefing .

The boat pulled out during a beautiful sunset and we went downstairs into the galley for dinner a bit after 8pm.
