First stop Burra for a look around, buy fruit etc and a sausage roll at the bakery for Roy!
Monument at Burra, with a little man on top
Decided to keep going for a cuppa in the country rather than a cafe.
Any convenience will do when you need it!
Found a little grassy track near the wind farm and had tea coffee and a choc chip cookie.'smoko' under the lee of the wind vanes
Trying to take an alternative route to Whyalla to that suggested by the car gps.
Through Jamestown and then on to Gladstone. Turn right up through Laura. Saw Laura’s soaps shop!
Wirraburra silos.
Wirraburra silos

Swing bridge at the foot of Mt Remarkable, clearly a popular walking location.
Swing bridge Wilmington
We had a sandwich and headed for Whyalla
Foreshore motor Inn Whyalla. With a lovely view of the ocean across a small car park.
Nice air con considering it’s 33c outside!!
The pool had been decommissioned and the restaurant shut prior to redevelopment so we walked along the foreshore and booked a prime table for dinner at the cafe. We both had Caesar salads but they were so loaded with fried chicken and bacon not to mention dressing that we might have missed the health benefits of a salad- but they were nice😁not a bad view for dinner, on the boardwalk Whyalla.
