Day 6, 16th Feb

South Neptune Islands

Up not too early for breakfast at 7:30
Watching the boys throw out baits , lots shark action.

Attracting sharks is a lot more effort than you might think!

Diving in the surface cage, for those without scuba qualification or those who just want to.

Kitted up and into the bottom cage. Took new lights on go pro this time. Saw heaps sharks very close - chewing on cage. Took GoPro 10 in with new video lights.

Scar face up VERY close

An amazing dive, constantly had great whites circling us. Hoping for lots of lovely video. At Neptune islands .
Had a second dive which was also terrific with our cage being constantly circled by great whites.

Also, a bonus of beautiful eagle rays

Me on the ocean floor - in cage!

Underwater lights make a big difference to the colour that otherwise disappears at depth.

Roy did a third dive which was almost  as good as the early one and they were all blown away with excitement.
Lots of baiting for surface action. The sun came out so we could watch the action and warm up.

Lovely dinner again followed by trivia night in Hawaiin shirts (though most didn’t comply). Our team came third by a half point (out of 3!).
